Scope of Work

This project involved the use of high-precision drone-based remote sensing technologies to map and assess the building stone quarries across five districts in Karnataka. Using UAVs integrated with advanced sensors, the LandPoint team captured aerial data to:

  • Generate high-resolution orthomosaic maps
  • Create Digital Surface Models (DSM) and 3D terrain models
  • Estimate current excavation levels and quarry extents
  • Identify unauthorized expansions and validate quarry boundaries

Purpose

To assist KSRSAC and relevant regulatory bodies with accurate and up-to-date spatial information for monitoring, planning, and managing quarry operations in compliance with environmental and mining regulations.
